My resume is always available at http://tinyurl.com/22h2mt

I was a Development Engineer for New Products with a large – no, make that huge – optical networking equipment company. I left graduate school with a Master of Science in Applied Physics and don't miss the Ph.D. at all. No, really; I'm not bitter about it. I had originally started school to become a Catholic priest, but discovered that you couldn't say “really huge penis” on stage with the Golden Stag Players (the troupe I occasionally act with), and still be expected to say Mass. Somewhere between Theology and Science is where I'm happiest, and the heretics in the Golden Stag Players make me feel right at home. I live in San Jose, California with my four children and wife. Having been furloughed temporarily in August of 2001, I discovered that many of our best customers went out of business in September of 2001 or shortly thereafter. No customers means no recall, and after a stint at a pharmaceutical manufacturer, I'm looking for new opportunities, again.
I write with a fountain pen, collect slide rules for fun, and am passionate about well-designed calculators.
